Transform Futures
Phase and subject specificity sit at the heart of our approach. We believe great primary teachers understand not just how children learn and develop, but how each subject behaves. A great primary teacher shows children how to think like scientists, historians, geographers, and mathematicians.
Primary teaching means building strong foundations across the curriculum, from early reading to mathematical reasoning. You’ll learn to design lessons that combine disciplinary thinking with core knowledge, ensuring that every child experiences what it means to question, investigate, and make sense of the world through different subject disciplines.
Primary Education: Where the Magic Begins
Our Primary Teacher Training programme is designed and delivered by our expert Phase Leads Shanti Chahal (English), Ashleigh Bruce (Phonics), and Vicki Cann (Mathematics).
With extensive classroom experience, teacher training experience and sector-leading insight, they support every trainee to develop subject knowledge, phase-specific pedagogy and the confidence to lead learning from day one.
Primary education is where the magic begins. Those early years are everything. We’re not just teaching children to read or write. We’re shaping the way they see themselves as learners, as thinkers, as humans.

Teaching Every Subject with Purpose
Our curriculum is purposely sequenced to help you understand not just what to teach, but how each subject works.
You’ll learn how to weave together substantive and disciplinary knowledge, so your history lessons reflect how historians use sources and evidence to answer questions about the past, your science lessons are grounded in experimental enquiry, and your geography lessons foster spatial understanding and critical questioning.
This depth of training will build your confidence and sharpen your planning, giving you the tools to teach with purpose across the national curriculum.
Transforming Futures Through Primary Education
When you join our primary teacher training programme, you become part of a professional community with a shared mission: to raise the standards of education for every child.
