The Oracy Cup 2026 is now open

The Oracy Cup 2026 has officially launched, with schools across south-east London and Kent invited to take part in this year’s competition.

Delivered by Equalitas in partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust, the Oracy Cup gives pupils aged 9–15 the opportunity to develop confidence, clarity and creativity through structured speaking and listening activities.

Participating schools can now access ready-to-use lesson sequences, classroom resources and competition guidance to support their own in-school competition before submitting up to two entries to the Oracy Cup.

Following more than 220 entries in our previous competition, this year’s winning pupils will once again have the opportunity to take part in exclusive Charlton Athletic experiences.

Key dates

  • Competition launched: 21 September 2026
  • Oracy Cup Q&A webinar: 30 September 2026, 4:00–4:30pm
  • Submission deadline: 13 November 2026
  • Prize experiences: December 2026

Schools can register for the Oracy Cup and access the competition resources through our Oracy Cup page. Registration also includes the option to join our free Q&A webinar on 30 September, where schools can hear more about the competition and ask any questions before getting started.
