Last week, we welcomed our new cohort of Primary and Secondary trainee teachers to Ark Globe Academy in London for the Equalitas 2026 August Conference.

Held over two days, the conference marks the beginning of the training year and gives our trainees the opportunity to prepare for the year ahead, meet fellow members of their cohort and begin working closely with their Equalitas subject and phase leads.

Across the two days, trainees took part in a programme of keynote presentations, subject and phase-specific sessions and opportunities to connect with the colleagues who will support them throughout their training. The conference opened with sessions from ITE Director Tracey Maloney and Shanti Chahal, Lead Mentor for Wellbeing.
