You’ll need at least two years of whole-class teaching experience before applying for AO.
Experience in at least two schools is a requirement for this programme. If you’re in a specialist setting, you must also have taught in a mainstream school for at least half a term.
The AO route is only open to staff who are already employed as unqualified teachers in a school.
