Train to Teach Geography
Transformative practice
Subject expertise is at the heart of how we train teachers because great geography teaching goes beyond memorising facts; it’s about understanding the world, fostering critical thinking, and inspiring students to engage with global issues.
Our Geography teacher training programme prepares you to teach geography in secondary schools with clarity, confidence, and purpose. You’ll approach the curriculum through a subject-specific lens, learning how to teach everything from hazards to ecosystems and urban geography, while fostering critical thinking and global awareness in your students.
Developing Reflective and Creative Practitioners
Your training will be led by Dr Stephanie Burke, Geography Programme Lead at E-Qualitas.
Dr. Burke has designed the course to cover all aspects of the school geography curriculum, ensuring trainees gain comprehensive subject knowledge and pedagogical skills.
The training I deliver is designed specifically for the geography classroom, equipping trainees with the skills and confidence to navigate the challenges and excitement that teaching geography brings.
